He’ll walk through why it’s important for physicians to be involved in politics and the legislative process, using real life examples of recent legislative issues that have impacted the practice of medicine, as well as how to engage with state policymakers. He’ll also provide a brief update on WSMA’s legislative priorities – including addressing prior authorization and increasing Medicaid reimbursement rates – and provide a preview of the 2023 session that will begin in January.

About Sean Graham
Sean joined WSMA in 2013 and in his role as Director of Government Affairs leads WSMA’s legislative advocacy and work on political campaigns. Originally from Ellensburg, Sean graduated from Central Washington University in 2007 and worked in the state Senate in a variety of capacities for six years before joining WSMA. He and his family live in the Olympia area on a small farm, raising weeds, chickens, and a toddler in no particular order.
